Volleyball Recap: East Duplin Extends Winning Streak to Four

East Duplin came tearing into Thursday's matchup with three straight wins , and they left with even more momentum. Everything went their way against the Lejeune Devilpups as they made off with a 3-0 win.

East Duplin's got stronger as the match went on, holding Lejeune to fewer and fewer points set over set. The final score came out to 25-23, 25-17, 25-14.

East Duplin found their leader in freshman Bennett Holley, who had three assists and two aces.

East Duplin was lethal from the service line and finished the game with 16 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least nine aces in four consecutive games.

East Duplin's victory bumped their record up to 5-1. As for Lejeune, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 2-2.

Looking ahead, East Duplin is taking a road trip to square off against Jacksonville at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Lejeune, they will look to defend their home court on Wednesday against Swansboro at 6:00 p.m.
