Softball Recap: Valmeyer Pirates vs. Trico Pioneers

If Valmeyer was feeling good off their 10-1 takedown of Marissa/Coulterville last Thursday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Valmeyer Pirates fell just short of the Trico Pioneers by a score of 3-2 on Monday. Valmeyer has not had much luck with Trico recently, as the team's come up short the last three times they've met.

Brooke Miller put in work while hitting and pitching. She tossed six innings while giving up three earned runs off six hits. Miller has been consistent recently: she hasn't given up more than two walks in seven consecutive pitching appearances.
