Volleyball Recap: Liberty Christian Warriors vs. Nolan Catholic Vikings

After flying high against Parish Episcopal last Thursday, Liberty Christian came back down to earth. The Warriors fell just short of the Nolan Catholic Vikings by a score of 3-2 on Tuesday. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Vikings this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-1 two weeks ago.

In a back-and-forth that saw neither team win consecutive sets, Liberty Christian sadly dropped the once that decided the match. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-9, 20-25, 25-19, 24-26, 15-10.

Bailey Kimberlin paced Liberty Christian's offense, picking up 14 kills. Kimberlin got some help from Brooklyn Kimberlin and her 21 assists. Finally, Charlotte Perkins kept Liberty Christian's defense grounded, leading the team with four blocks.

Nolan Catholic found their leader in sophomore Caitlin Carrizales, who had 17 digs and six assists.

Liberty Christian has been struggling recently as they've lost 12 of their last 14 matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 15-23 record this season. As for Nolan Catholic, the win was the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 20-10.
