Softball Recap: Lake Mead Academy Eagles vs. Pinecrest Academy Cadence Cougars
Lake Mead Academy put another one in the bag on Wednesday to keep their perfect season alive. They came out on top against the Pinecrest Academy Cadence Cougars by a score of 15-11. Both teams can probably skip cardio this week after making that many trips around the bases.
Mackenzie Sorrels was a major factor while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she struck out 15 batters over eight innings while giving up eight earned (and three unearned) runs off ten hits. Even though they lost, Pinecrest Academy Cadence didn't let batters stay on the plate for long and finished the game with 15 strikeouts. That's the most strikeouts they've managed all season.
