Basketball Game Preview: NSU University Sharks vs. American Heritage Patriots

NSU University has gone 4-0 against American Heritage recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Tuesday. The NSU University Sharks will head out to challenge the American Heritage Patriots at 7:00 p.m. NSU University is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 61 points per game this season.

Last Thursday, NSU University took their game with ease, bagging a 65-34 win over Monsignor Pace. The Sharks have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won four matches by 23 points or more this season.

Xavier Osecola continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, going 8 for 15 on his way to 21 points in addition to five assists and three steals. He is on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed two or more in the last three games he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Danny Malamud, who posted ten points.

They weren't the only one working in the assists department: NSU University was working as a unit and finished the game with 16 assists. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Monsignor Pace only posted six assists.

Meanwhile, American Heritage can finally bid farewell to their five-game losing streak thanks to their game on Thursday. They came out on top against Somerset Academy Key by a score of 53-45.

American Heritage's victory bumped their record up to 2-5. As for NSU University, the win got them back to even at 6-6.

Everything went NSU University's way against American Heritage when the teams last played back in December of 2024, as NSU University made off with a 56-33 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for NSU University since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
