Having struggled with four losses in a row, Leonard turned things around against Howe on Friday. They took down the Bulldogs 52-36. Given the Tigers' advantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 572nd, while the Bulldogs are ranked 1181st), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Meanwhile, S & S Consolidated took a blow against Blue Ridge on Friday, falling 51-12. The contest marked the Rams' lowest-scoring game so far this season.

Leonard's win bumped their record up to 18-13. As for S & S Consolidated, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-17.
