Basketball Recap: Charlie Silva De Balboa's Big Game Can't Quite Lead DSST: Conservatory Green over Manual

If DSST: Conservatory Green was riding high fresh off their 65-44 takedown of Bruce Randolph last Wednesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The DSST: Conservatory Green Hornets took a 90-86 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Manual Thunderbolts. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their prior game last Wednesday (65), the Hornets still had to take the loss.

DSST: Conservatory Green's defeat came despite a true team effort with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Charlie Silva De Balboa, who went 7-for-11 to rack up 21 points. The dominant performance gave Silva De Balboa a new career-high in points. Another player making a difference was Davon Allen, who went 8-for-15 en route to 20 points in addition to five boards and three steals.

DSST: Conservatory Green has been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four games, which has put a noticeable dent in their 12-8 record this season. As for Manual, the victory was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 13-6.

DSST: Conservatory Green does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Manual, they will take on Denver North at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. That contest will pit two of the most dominant guards against one another: Sammy Barajas and Zubayr Carpenter.
