Softball Game Preview: Fairfield Central Griffins vs. Clinton Red Devils

For the second straight game, Fairfield Central will face off against Clinton. The Griffins will head out on the road to challenge the Red Devils at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.

Fairfield Central had been on a five-game streak of scoring at least ten runs, but Clinton put an end to it on Wednesday. The Griffins fell 5-0 to the Red Devils. The Griffins' loss signaled the end of their five-game winning streak.

The victory (which was Clinton's fifth in a row) raised their record to 9-8-1. Those wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.6 runs on average over those games. As for Fairfield Central, their defeat dropped their record down to 5-4.
