Softball Recap: Sacred Heart of Jesus Snaps Eight-Game Streak of Wins on the Road

Sacred Heart of Jesus dropped their record down to 12-8 on Friday, which also ended the team's eight-game streak of wins on the road. They lost 6-0 to the La Salle Lancers. While getting shut out isn't ideal, the Comets haven't been shut out since back in March.

As for La Salle, they are on a roll lately: they've won 12 of their last 13 games. That's provided a nice bump to their 15-4 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 15.0 runs over those games.

For La Salle's part, Havana Pagan made a big impact while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run over seven innings pitched. Pagan has been consistent recently: she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in four consecutive appearances. She was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-4 with two RBI and one double.

In other batting news, Aria Davis was incredible, going 2-for-3 with one home run and two runs. Jadyn Shaver was another key player, going 2-for-3 with one run, one double, and one RBI.

Sacred Heart of Jesus does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for La Salle, they will take on St. Genevieve at 3:15 p.m. on Tuesday.
