Fremont hasn't had much luck against Central Noble recently, but that could start to change on Tuesday. The Eagles will be playing at home against the Cougars at 5:30 p.m. Central Noble took a loss in their last match and will be looking to turn the tables on Fremont, who comes in off a win.
Last Saturday, Fremont made easy work of Wabash and carried off a 13-2 victory. The Eagles haven't had any issues with the Apaches recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive win against them.
Emma Creager was a major factor while hitting and pitching. She pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs off four hits. Creager was also solid in the batter's box, scoring a run while going 2-for-2.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Chloe Verdin, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 3-for-3. Those three hits gave her a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Myleigh Carper, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 2-for-3.
Fremont always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .600. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Wabash only posted an OBP of .290.
The home team had come away the winner the last five times Central Noble and East Noble had met, but sadly for the fans who attended this one that wasn't the case. The Cougars fell 6-3 to the Knights on Monday. Cougars fans who chose to attend the game sure picked the wrong one: it was the first time the team's lost against the Knights since on Monday.
Like Fremont, Central Noble also got a great game from a two-way player: Grace Swank. On the mound, she struck out 15 batters over seven innings while giving up four earned (and two unearned) runs off seven hits. Swank was also big at the plate, going 2-for-4 with one home run, two RBI, and one double.
Swank wasn't the only one making solid contact as five players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Kensy Kimmell, who went 1-for-3 with one home run.
Central Noble's loss dropped their record down to 2-2. As for Fremont, they now have a winning record of 2-1.
Both the two teams just can't seem to miss. Fremont has been making plenty of contact this season, having averaged 10.3 hits per game. However, it's not like Central Noble struggles in that department as they've been averaging only 4.2 hits. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Fremont couldn't quite get it done against Central Noble in their previous meeting back in April of 2024 as they fell 5-2. Will the Eagles have more luck at home instead of on the road? Check MaxPreps after the match for a full breakdown of the game, commentary, and other softball content.
