Basketball Recap: Surry Homeschool's Win Ends Five-Game Losing Streak on the Road

Surry HomeSchool had to endure a three-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They walked away with a 56-49 win over Appalachian Christian on Saturday.

Surry HomeSchool was led to victory by Logan Weddle and Dylan Butcher. Weddle posted 12 points, while Butcher earned 12 points. Weddle continues to improve, besting his previous point total in each of the last three games he's played. Another player making a difference was Heath Clark, who scored 11 points.

Surry HomeSchool is on the road again on Saturday to play Varsity Opponent at 10:40 a.m. As for Appalachian Christian, they will venture away from home to face off against Independent Athletic Ministries at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Independent Athletic Ministries has been dominant on offense recently, having racked up an incredible 185 points over their last three matchups.
