Central waltzed into their matchup on Monday with 25 straight wins... but they left with 26. They narrowly escaped with a victory as the squad sidled past the Auburn Tigers 3-1. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Red Devils have posted against the Tigers since April 3, 2024.

Kayla Storey looked comfortable as she pitched four innings while giving up just one earned run off three hits. She has been consistent for a while: she hasn't given up more than two walks any time she's pitched this season.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Savannah Sevier, who went 2-for-3 with two runs, one triple, and one stolen base.

Central hit smart and finished the game with only one strikeout. The team has now struck out at least two batters in nine consecutive contests.
