Volleyball Recap: Campo Verde Wins High-Profile Match Against Arizona College Prep

Campo Verde faced Arizona College Prep in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Thursday. The Coyotes were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Knights. The victory was nothing new for the Coyotes as they're now sitting on three straight.

The 3-0 score doesn't really reflect how close the match was: every set was decided by three points or less. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-23, 25-22, 28-26.

Malakai Bredensteiner paced Campo Verde's offense, picking up 11 kills. Bredensteiner got some help from Carter Skousen and his 29 assists. Skousen was also solid from the service line: he led the team with seven aces.

Campo Verde's win was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 12-6. As for Arizona College Prep, their loss dropped their record down to 14-7.

Coincidentally, Campo Verde and Arizona College Prep will both be playing Mountain Pointe the next time they take the court. The Coyotes will head out to face the Pride at 5:30 p.m. on Monday, while the Knights will head out to face them at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
