Volleyball Game Preview: Georgetown Visitation Prep Cubs vs. Potomac School Panthers

The Georgetown Visitation Prep Cubs are taking a road trip to square off against the Potomac School Panthers at 5:45 p.m. on Tuesday. Georgetown Visitation Prep will be strutting in after a victory while Potomac School will be coming in after a loss.

Potomac School will face off against a team with plenty of momentum: Georgetown Visitation Prep extended their winning streak to three on Tuesday. The Cubs walked away with a 3-1 win over St. Andrew's Episcopal.

Georgetown Visitation Prep walked away with the victory (and looked especially good in the second set). The final score came out to 25-22, 25-15, 24-26, 25-18.

Meanwhile, Potomac School faced Flint Hill in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Thursday. The Panthers lost 3-0 to the Huskies. The Panthers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back matches.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-15, 25-19, 25-13.

Potomac School's defeat dropped their record down to 6-6. As for Georgetown Visitation Prep, their win bumped their record up to 16-6.

Georgetown Visitation Prep might still be hurting after the 3-0 loss they got from Potomac School in their previous matchup back in September of 2024. Can the Cubs avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
