Basketball Game Preview: Berrien Rebels vs. Thomasville Bulldogs

Berrien hasn't had much luck against Thomasville recently, but that could start to change on Friday. The Berrien Rebels will venture away from home to square off against the Thomasville Bulldogs at 6:00 p.m. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

Berrien is headed into Friday's game looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their tenth straight game on Tuesday. They were beaten by Brantley County 73-21. While losing is never fun, the Rebels can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Georgia basketball rankings (they are ranked 505th, while the Herons are ranked 159th).

Meanwhile, Thomasville played a tough match on Tuesday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They took a blow against Lowndes, falling 73-27. The Bulldogs haven't had much luck with the Vikings recently, as the team's come up short the last seven times they've met.

Jayla Brooks was Thomasville's leading scorer, having posted seven points. Harmony Bryant held things down on the boards with ten rebounds.

Berrien's defeat dropped their record down to 1-15. As for Thomasville, their loss dropped their record down to 7-6.

Berrien came up short against Thomasville when the teams last played back in February of 2022, falling 49-36. Thankfully for Berrien, Herbreyia Diggs (who dropped a double-double on 23 points and 12 rebounds) won't be suiting up this time. Will that be enough to change the final result?
