The Lompoc Braves will square off against the St. Joseph Knights at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. Lompoc will be strutting in after a win while St. Joseph will be coming in after a defeat.
Lompoc will roll into the contest after a wild two-game stretch: they only put up ten points last Friday, then bounced right back against Mission College Prep on Friday. The Braves claimed a resounding 42-14 victory over the Royals. The game was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 28-7.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Lompoc to victory, but perhaps none more so than Parker House, who rushed for 76 yards and a pair of TDs. Those 76 rushing yards gave House a new career-high.
They were just one part of a punishing run game: Lompoc was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 295 rushing yards. They are a perfect 5-0 when they've run for more than 200 yards.
Lompoc didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off three passes before the game was over. It was truly a group effort as Kasch Kubasiewicz, Nelson Brown, and Noah Kinard picked up one apiece.
Meanwhile, St. Joseph unfortunately witnessed the end of their seven-game winning streak on Friday. They came up short against Arroyo Grande, falling 30-7. The Knights were red-hot offensively heading into the matchup (they scored no less than 31 points in the six contests prior), but the Eagles' defense proved too tough.
Despite the loss, St. Joseph saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Grayson Gaines rushed for 119 yards. Gaines is crushing it when it comes to rushing yards: he's rushed for at least 105 every time he's taken the field this season.
St. Joseph's defeat was their first in the league, dropping their league record down to 2-1 and their overall record down to 7-2. As for Lompoc, their win bumped their record up to 6-2.
Friday's game might be decided on the ground. Lompoc has been unstoppable on the ground this season, having averaged 212.9 rushing yards per game. However, it's not like St. Joseph struggles in that department as they've been averaging 200.6 rushing yards. There's a good chance Friday's matchup turns into a tough fight on the ground.
