Football Game Preview: Timberlake Tigers vs. Lakeland Hawks + How To Watch

Timberlake is 1-9 against Lakeland since September of 2016 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Friday. The Tigers will face off against the Hawks at 7:00 p.m. Both come into the contest bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

While Timberlake's victory against St. Maries wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Tigers sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 30-27 win over the Lumberjacks on Friday. The Tigers haven't had any issues with the Lumberjacks recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive victory against them.

Meanwhile, Lakeland never let their opponents score on Friday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Moscow 49-0. That 49 point margin sets a new team best for the Hawks this season.

Lakeland's win came from a few key players Timberlake will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was Peyton Hillman, who threw for 228 yards and three touchdowns while completing 76.2% of his passes. Griffin Tamagni also helped with two TDs in total.

Timberlake's first win this season bumped their record up to 1-5. As for Lakeland, their victory bumped their record up to 6-0.

Timberlake was dealt a bruising 35-6 defeat at the hands of Lakeland in their previous matchup back in October of 2024. Thankfully for the Tigers, Kage (lovie) Weil (who rushed for 214 yards and three scores while picking up 12.6 yards per carry) won't be suiting up this time.
