Baseball Recap: Floyd Central Takes a Loss

Floyd Central was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They came up short against the Prestonsburg Blackcats, falling 8-1. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Blackcats this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 8-5 last Thursday.

Floyd Central saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Kolten Crum, who scored a run while going 1-for-2. Barrett Williams also deserves some recognition as he snagged his first stolen base of the season.

Floyd Central now has a losing record of 3-4. As for Prestonsburg, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 3-3.

Looking ahead, Floyd Central will challenge Padua Franciscan at 9:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Prestonsburg, they will head out on the road to face off against IMG Academy White at 7:00 p.m. on Monday.
