Baseball Recap: Pearsall Puts Losing Streak Behind Them

Pearsall came into Thursday's contest having lost five straight, but that streak is now in the rearview. They came out on top against the Cotulla Cowboys by a score of 6-3 on Thursday. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Mavericks also won the last time the pair played back in March of 2019.

Jonavyn R was excellent, going 1-for-2 with two runs, one stolen base, and one RBI. Ryan M also deserves some recognition as he brought in his first RBI of the season.

Pearsall picked up their first home victory, bumping their record up to 2-10. As for Cotulla, they have been struggling recently as they've lost six of their last seven games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 2-10-1 record this season.

Pearsall will have a chance to go back-to-back against Cotulla: the pair will be back at it again later today.
