Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Woodland Regional). Everything went their way against the Kennedy Eagles on Friday as they made off with a 12-2 victory. The win continues a trend for the Hawks in their matchups with the Eagles: they've now won nine in a row.

The team relied heavily on Tyler DeCrescenzo, who went 3-for-4 with one home run, four runs, and four RBI. That's the most hits he has posted since back in May of 2024. Michael Landrigan was another key player, scoring three runs and stealing a base while getting on base in all four of his plate appearances.

Woodland Regional always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .571. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.

Woodland Regional's victory bumped their record up to 3-6. As for Kennedy, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-2.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Woodland Regional will venture away from home to challenge St. Joseph at 3:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Kennedy, they will head out to face off against Oxford at 11:00 a.m. on Monday.
