Basketball Recap: Friday's Win Is Indianapolis Cardinal Ritter's Eighth in Last Nine Outings

Indianapolis Cardinal Ritter had already proven themselves in the regular season and they didn't miss a beat now that it's playoff time. They came out on top against the Riverside Argonauts by a score of 73-66 on Friday. Given the Raiders' advantage in MaxPreps' Indiana basketball rankings (they are ranked 85th, while the Argonauts are ranked 200th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Indianapolis Cardinal Ritter found their leader in sophomore Devin Bolden, who dropped a double-double with 30 points and 13 boards. Bolden is also on a roll when it comes to shooting accuracy, as he's posted one of at least 50% in the last seven games he's played. Cheick Wade was another key player, shooting 50% from the field on his way to 15 points and three steals.

Indianapolis Cardinal Ritter has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won eight of their last nine contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 18-6 record this season. The defeat snapped Riverside's winning streak at three games and leaves them with a 18-5 record.
