Peabody got their first taste of in-conference action on Monday and they started things off strong. Everything went their way against the Ripley Tigers as they made off with an 8-2 win. The result was nothing new for the Golden Tide, who have now won six matchups by six runs or more so far this season.

Peabody's victory bumped their record up to 7-8. As for Ripley, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-8.

Peabody will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Tigers: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
