Softball Game Preview: John Carroll Catholic Cavaliers vs. Sipsey Valley Bears

The John Carroll Catholic Cavaliers will take on the Sipsey Valley Bears at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Sipsey Valley took a loss in their last game and will be looking to turn the tables on John Carroll Catholic, who comes in off a win.

Having struggled with five defeats in a row, John Carroll Catholic turned things around against Briarwood Christian on Monday. They were the clear victors by a 15-7 margin over the Lions.

Meanwhile, Sipsey Valley came up short against Holy Spirit Catholic on Thursday and fell 10-5. The Bears have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Ella Kate Lyons was cooking despite her team's loss, scoring a run while going 3-for-4. AP Virden was another key player, going 2-for-4 with two RBI and one double.

John Carroll Catholic's victory bumped their record up to 10-18. As for Sipsey Valley, their loss dropped their record down to 8-20.
