 Deer Creek-Mackinaw won the last time they faced Richwoods, and things went their way  on Tuesday too. The Deer Creek-Mackinaw Chiefs put the hurt on the Richwoods Knights with a sharp  18-8 victory.
  Kenzie Knowles was a major factor no matter where she played. On the mound, she  struck out 12 batters over  5.2 innings while giving up  three earned  (and one unearned) runs off   three  hits. Knowles was also big at the plate,  scoring three  runs and  stealing two bases while going 2-for-4.
 In other batting news,  the team  relied heavily on  Ally McDaniel, who  scored two  runs and  stole three bases while going 3-for-5. Another player making a difference was  Addyson Carithers, who  scored two  runs while  getting on base  in all four of her plate appearances.
 The  win  got Deer Creek-Mackinaw back to even at 1-1.
 Both  squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Deer Creek-Mackinaw will take on Havana at 4:30  p.m.  on Friday. As for Richwoods, they will look to defend their home field  on Thursday against Canton at 4:30  p.m.
