Basketball Recap: Triangle Math & Science Takes Loss Despite Strong Performances from Ayyoub Baianonie and Zane Wilson + How To Watch

Triangle Math & Science lost against Excelsior Classical Academy back in November and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Wednesday. The Tigers fell 54-44 to the Flying Lions. The Tigers were down 47-27 at the end of the third quarter, which was just too much to recover from.

Triangle Math & Science's defeat shouldn't obscure the performances of Zane Wilson, who dropped a double-double with 14 points and 13 boards, and Ayyoub Baianonie, who posted eight points.

It was another big night for Tyler Hill, who dropped a double-double with 22 points and 14 rebounds for Excelsior Classical Academy. The contest was Hill's sixth in a row with at least 16 points. Shawn Francis-Service was another key player, putting up ten points in addition to eight steals and five assists.

Triangle Math & Science moved to 4-4 with that loss, which also ended their three-game winning streak. As for Excelsior Classical Academy, their win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 6-2.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Triangle Math & Science will take on Research Triangle Academy at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Excelsior Classical Academy and Henderson Collegiate will compete for holiday cheer at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
