A Season-Best Performance from Rodrevious Bailey Leads Lafayette County over Gurdon

On Friday, Lafayette County had to settle for second even though Rodrevious Bailey put up the best numbers he has all season. Bailey rushed for 229 yards and four touchdowns on only 14 carries, and also picked up 49 receiving yards. His longest rush was for an impressive 60 yards, which helps to explain his lofty yards per carry total.

Lafayette County now has a losing record at 2-3. Bailey and Lafayette County will challenge Spring Hill at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.

Laster Made His Presence Known in Gurdon's 39-36 Win

Gurdon found a leader in Xavier Laster as the squad took down Lafayette County on Friday. Laster turned in nothing short of a gem, rushing for 103 yards on only 13 carries, while also catching a touchdown.

For the year, Laster has averaged 111.8 rushing yards per game. He's made a big improvement compared to last season: at this point last year, he was only averaging 69.75 rushing yards per game.

Jaz Radford Makes It Two for Lafayette County
