Football Game Preview: Pickens County Tornadoes vs. Marion County Red Raiders + How To Watch

Pickens County is a perfect 10-0 against Marion County since September of 2016 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Friday. The Tornadoes will take on the Red Raiders at 7:00 p.m. The teams are rolling into the game with opposing streaks: Pickens County has struggled recently with three defeats in a row, while Marion County will arrive with three straight victories.

On Friday, Pickens County came up short against Berry and fell 28-18.

Pickens County might have lost, but man, Mj Billups was a machine: he threw for 213 yards and three TDs, and also rushed for 76 yards and one touchdown. 85 of Billups' passing yards were hauled in by Kristofer Witherspoon, who also brought in a receiving touchdown.

Marion County played against Sumiton Christian on Friday and won via forfeit.

Marion County's win bumped their record up to 5-3. As for Pickens County, their loss dropped their record down to 2-6.

Pickens County didn't have too much breathing room in their contest against Marion County in their previous matchup back in October of 2024, but they still walked away with a 22-16 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Tornadoes since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
