Bishop McGuinness is returning to their home court after beating College Prep & Leadership Academy on theirs, despite the fact College Prep & Leadership Academy has dominated at home this season. Bishop McGuinness walked away with a 63-55 victory over College Prep & Leadership Academy on Friday.

Meanwhile, Piedmont Classical was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap on Friday as they fell 40-35 to Winston-Salem Prep. The matchup marked the Bobcats' lowest-scoring game so far this season.

Piedmont Classical's loss ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 6-9. As for Bishop McGuinness, they pushed their record up to 16-2 with the win, which was their seventh straight on the road.

Everything came up roses for Bishop McGuinness against Piedmont Classical in their previous matchup back in February of 2024, as the squad secured a 73-39 victory.
