Football Game Preview: Englewood Rams vs. Paxon School For Advanced Studies Golden Eagles

The Englewood Rams will head out to square off against the Paxon School For Advanced Studies Golden Eagles at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Englewood comes in still looking for their first win of the season.

Englewood is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. They took a 28-20 hit to the loss column at the hands of Stanton on Friday. Rams fans who chose to attend the game sure picked the wrong one: it was the first time the team has lost against the Blue Devils since Friday.

Englewood might have lost, but man, Leo Taylor was a machine: he threw for 315 yards and three TDs while completing 72.4% of his passes. 103 of Taylor's passing yards were hauled in by Kenner Rojas.

Meanwhile, Paxon School For Advanced Studies was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap on Friday as they fell 21-17 to Union County. The Golden Eagles haven't had much luck with the Fightin' Tigers recently, as the team has come up short the last three times they've met.

Paxon School For Advanced Studies' defeat dropped their record down to 3-3. As for Englewood, their loss dropped their record down to 0-5.

Englewood couldn't quite get it done against Paxon School For Advanced Studies in their previous meeting back in October of 2024 as they fell 14-6. Can the Rams avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
