Scott took a 20-run defeat the last time they faced off against Spearville, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. The Beavers had just enough and edged out the Lancers 12-11 on Thursday. This was a revenge game for the Beavers: when they faced off against the Lancers on Thursday, they had to take a 29-9 loss.

Scott's victory bumped their record up to 3-1. As for Spearville, their defeat was their first of the season and also makes their record 3-1.
