Recap: Sutherland Sailors vs. Creek Valley Storm

The Sutherland Sailors came into Tuesday's matchup having lost eight straight, but that streak is now in the rearview. They took their game at home on Tuesday with ease, bagging a 56-18 win over Creek Valley. Sutherland's offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.

Story Rasby had an outrageously good game as she scored 18 points along with seven rebounds and three steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points she has scored all season. Glory Naughtin was another key contributor, scoring nine points along with two steals.

Perhaps unsurprisingly given the score, Creek Valley struggled to work together and finished the game with only two assists. They were crushed by their opponents in that department as Sutherland racked up 12 assists.

Sutherland's win ended a four-game drought at home and bumped them up to 2-11. As for Creek Valley, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-9.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Sutherland will face off against the Longhorns at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. Hopefully Kimball focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 20 on Tuesday. Creek Valley is on the road again on Friday and plays the Eagles at 4:00 p.m. on January 26th. Garden County comes in on a streak of failing to score more than 20 points in their last three games, a trend the team is of course eager to reverse.
