Basketball Recap: Northside Takes Loss Despite Strong Performances from Brandon Rater and Colt Ford

Northside and Hamlin squared off in some playoff action on Monday, but Northside had to settle for second. They came up short against the Hamlin Pied Pipers, falling 67-41. The Indians have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Colt Ford and Brandon Rater certainly did their best on Monday to avoid the loss. Ford went 7-for-12 on his way to 17 points and seven boards, while Rater posted eight points. The dominant performance gave Rater a new career-high in points.

Northside's record is now 7-19. As for Hamlin, they are on a roll lately: they've won 13 of their last 15 matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 20-8 record this season.

Northside does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Hamlin, they will face off against Eula on Thursday. One thing working in Hamlin's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last four games.
