Basketball Recap: Sesser-Valier/Waltonville Continues Home Dominance on Saturday

While Sesser-Valier/Waltonville didn't have the best season last year (they finished 11-18), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past. They secured a 53-47 W over the Hamilton County Foxes on Saturday. This was payback for the Red Devils, who suffered a 60-25 loss the last time these two teams met.

Despite the loss, Hamilton County still got an impressive performance from Rayci Phelps, who went 7 for 17 on her way to 20 points. Phelps is crushing it when it comes to points: she's scored at least 17 every time she's taken the court this season. Kylah Parkhill was another key player, putting up 12 points.

Sesser-Valier/Waltonville pushed their record up to 8-4 with the victory, which was their fourth straight at home. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 56.5 points per game. As for Hamilton County, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 7-4.

Sesser-Valier/Waltonville and Meridian will round out the year against one another at at 6:00 p.m. on December 30th.
