Baseball Recap: Killian Find Success

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Killian). They put the hurt on Sports Leadership & Management with a sharp 25-5 win on Thursday. With that victory, the Cougars brought their scoring average up to 9.8 runs per game.

Eddie Naranjo was incredible, getting on base in four of his five plate appearances with four runs, three RBI, and one double. That double was his first of the season. The team also got some help courtesy of Zilex Torres, who went 2-for-3 with four RBI, two doubles, and one run.

Killian kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 13 hits. That's the most hits they've posted since back in April of 2025.

Killian's first win this season bumped their record up to 1-3. As for Sports Leadership & Management, they dropped their record down to 0-6 with the defeat, which was their ninth straight on the road dating back to last season.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming contests. Killian will head out to take on Chaminade-Madonna at 3:00 p.m. on Friday. The Lions' pitching crew has only allowed 0.8 runs per game this season, so the Cougars' hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for Sports Leadership & Management, they will venture away from home to square off against Miami Springs at 3:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
