After flying high against Leavenworth last Thursday, Basehor-Linwood came back down to earth. The Bobcats fell just short of the Tonganoxie Chieftains by a score of 2-1 on Tuesday. The loss continues a trend for Basehor-Linwood in their meetings with Tonganoxie: they've now lost three in a row.

Basehor-Linwood's defeat dropped their record down to 3-9-1. As for Tonganoxie, they pushed their record up to 6-5-2 with the victory, which was their fourth straight at home.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming matchups. Basehor-Linwood will challenge Ottawa on Thursday. As for Tonganoxie, they will take on Paola on Thursday. Tonganoxie will be up against Paola's rather soft defense (which has allowed 5.75 goals per contest), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance.
