Recap: Bristol Bay Angels vs. Minto Lakers
The Bristol Bay Angels lost a heartbreaker when they last took the court, but unfortunately for them the loss they were handed on on Thursday was a bit more commanding. They suffered a rough 72-47 defeat at the hands of Minto. Bristol Bay was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 41-17.
Several Angels players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Riley Aurilia, who scored eight points.
Minto's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Andrew David led the charge by scoring 28 points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points David has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Marsten Capelle, who scored 20 points.
This is the second loss in a row for Bristol Bay and nudges their season record down to 3-2. As for Minto, the win makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 11-1.
Bristol Bay will stay at home for another game and welcome the Rams on January 20th. Susitna Valley is coming into the game on a five-game losing streak. Minto's road trip will continue as they head out to face the Wolverines at 5:00 p.m. on January 19th. Tok is strutting with some offensive muscle, as they've averaged 57.4 points per game this season.
