Volleyball Game Preview: Vista Ridge Wolves vs. Fountain-Fort Carson Trojans

Vista Ridge is 2-8 against Fountain-Fort Carson since September of 2017 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Thursday. The Wolves will challenge the Trojans at 6:00 p.m. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this contest.

Vista Ridge came into their game on Tuesday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They came up short against Pueblo West, falling 3-0.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-21, 25-15, 25-16.

Meanwhile, Fountain-Fort Carson came up short against Rampart on Tuesday and fell 3-1.

Fountain-Fort Carson started the match hot and won the first set, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last three. The match finished with set scores of 23-25, 25-20, 25-20, 25-16.

Vista Ridge's defeat dropped their record down to 4-10. As for Fountain-Fort Carson, their loss dropped their record down to 5-5.

Vista Ridge couldn't quite get it done against Fountain-Fort Carson in their previous meeting back in September as they fell 3-1. Can the Wolves avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
