Volleyball Recap: Burke Takes a Loss

Burke was the 3-1 winner over Winner when they last played one another back in September, but their luck changed this time around. The Cougars took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Warriors on Saturday. The Cougars have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back matches.

The final score came out to 25-20, 25-15.

Emmie Hausmann paced Burke's offense, picking up six kills. Hausmann got some help from Emmy Spencer and her six assists. Brianna Davis controlled things from the service line, finishing with three aces.

Burke's loss dropped their record down to 27-5. As for Winner, they pushed their record up to 22-6 with the win, which was their eighth straight at home.

Coming up, Burke will take on Wagner at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Winner, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 2-0 victory against Parkston on the 25th.
