Basketball Recap: Mason County Wins Going Away Against West Union

On Monday, the Mason County Royals made easy work of the West Union Dragons and carried off a 69-46 win. The Royals have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won seven games by 23 points or more this season.

West Union's loss came despite strong showings from Madison Stout and Annabelle Mcintosh. Stout posted 13 points in addition to eight boards and three steals, while Mcintosh put up 12 points. Mcintosh has been hot for a while, having also posted two or more steals the last ten times she's played. Nina McCann also deserves some recognition as she grabbed her first steal of the season.

Mason County has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matches, which provided a nice bump to their 13-7 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 58.8 points per game. As for West Union, their loss dropped their record down to 10-10.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Mason County has already played their next contest (against Woodford County), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. West Union will take on Western at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
