Baseball Recap: Carmel Comes Up Short

Carmel was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They fell 6-3 to the Somers Tuskers. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Tuskers this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 4-3 on Thursday.

Alex Luppino was cooking despite his team's loss, going 1-for-3 with one home run and two RBI.

Carmel's defeat dropped their record down to 4-11. As for Somers, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 4-3 record this season.

Coincidentally, Carmel and Somers will both be playing John Jay the next time they take the field. The Rams will host the Patriots at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday, while the Tuskers will host them at 5:00 p.m. on the 14th.
