Softball Recap: Vardaman Takes a Loss

Vardaman's last matchup with Houston could've gone either way, but unfortunately the same can't be said for the pair's contest on Thursday. The Rams came up short against the Hilltoppers, falling 10-3. The Rams haven't had much luck with the Hilltoppers recently, as the team has come up short the last eight times they've met.

Adley Teasley made the most of her time in the batter's box despite the final result and went 2-for-3 with two RBI and one double. Lyla Chandler was another key player, going 2-for-3 with one run and one double.

Vardaman now has a losing record of 8-9. As for Houston, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 9-14.

Coming up, Vardaman will look to defend their home field on Friday against Eupora at 5:30 p.m. Houston will be paying especially close attention to the Rams' matchup: after the Rams face off against the Eagles, they'll take on Houston again at 5:00 p.m. on Monday.
