Softball Recap: Monday's Defeat Ends Armstrong's Winning Streak

Monday just wasn't the day for Armstrong's offense. They took a 5-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Oakwood Comets on Monday. Having soared to a lofty 21 runs in the game before, the Trojans' shutout was a dramatic turnaround.

The defeat snapped Armstrong's winning streak at five games and leaves them with a 13-10 record. As for Oakwood, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 13-8-1.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Armstrong will face off against Milford at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Oakwood, they will square off against Champaign Central at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday.
