Basketball Game Preview: Capital Cougars vs. Peninsula Seahawks

Capital is 2-8 against Peninsula since January of 2019 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Thursday. The Capital Cougars will host the Peninsula Seahawks at 7:00 p.m.

On Tuesday, Capital was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap as they fell 39-33 to Lakes.

The loss doesn't tell the whole story though, as several players had good games. One of the most active was Mia Nielsen, who posted 13 points and three steals. She is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed three or more in the last three games she's played. Kail'Ah Allen was another key player, putting up six points and 18 boards.

Meanwhile, Peninsula waltzed into their match on Tuesday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They blew past the Rams 67-20. The Seahawks have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won five games by 20 points or more this season.

Peninsula has also been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six contests, which provided a nice bump to their 10-5 record this season. As for Capital, their loss dropped their record down to 4-11.
