Basketball Game Preview: Shakopee Sabers vs. Farmington Tigers

The Shakopee Sabers will head out on the road to square off against the Farmington Tigers at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Shakopee knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past nine games -- so hopefully Farmington likes a good challenge.

Last Friday, Shakopee beat Lakeville North 63-52.

Meanwhile, it was a proper cat-fight when Farmington took on Lakeville South on Friday. Farmington rang in the new year with an 82-71 win over Lakeville South.

Farmington has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four contests, which provided a nice bump to their 5-3 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 78.3 points per game. As for Shakopee, they now have a winning record of 5-4.

Shakopee and Farmington were neck-and-neck in their previous matchup back in March of 2024, but Shakopee came up empty-handed after a 72-71 defeat. Can Shakopee avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
