Baseball Recap: Pearl-Cohn Comes Up Short

Pearl-Cohn was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their seventh straight loss dating back to last season. They lost 14-1 to the Cane Ridge Ravens. If the Firebirds were looking for revenge after losing 19-2 to the Ravens when the teams met back in April of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Pearl-Cohn's defeat dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Cane Ridge, the win got them back to even at 1-1.

Looking ahead, Pearl-Cohn will challenge Lawson at 3:00 p.m. on Monday. Lawson is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 11.5 runs per game this season. As for Cane Ridge, they will square off against Hillsboro at 12:30 p.m. on Monday. Hillsboro also hasn't been messing around on offense: they've averaged 7.6 runs per game.
