Basketball Recap: Stringer Red Devils vs. Pisgah Dragons        
        
		
             Stringer came into Tuesday's   matchup having lost ten straight, but that streak is now in the rearview. They came out on top against the Pisgah Dragons by a score of  51-43  on Tuesday. This was payback for the Red Devils, who suffered  a  56-47  loss the last time these two teams met.
 Pisgah's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was   Matthew Travis, who  went 5 for 11 en route to 15 points plus two  steals.  Zane Smith was another key player,  almost  dropping  a double-double on nine  steals and nine  blocks.
 Stringer's first  victory this season bumped their record up to 1-2. As for Pisgah,  they are  on  a  three-game losing streak  that has dropped them down to 1-3.
 Both  squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Stringer will venture away from home to  take on Raleigh  at 7:30  p.m.  on Monday. As for Pisgah, their road trip will continue as they head out to face McLaurin at 7:30  p.m.  on Thursday. McLaurin will roll in looking for their  fifth straight  win, something Pisgah surely won't give up without a fight.
