Basketball Recap: Eagle Find Success

It may have taken overtime to finish the job, but Eagle ultimately got the result they hoped for on Tuesday. They walked away with a 79-71 win over the Columbia Wildcats. The Mustangs haven't had any issues with the Wildcats recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive victory against them.

Several Wildcats players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Max Keller, who posted 19 points and six assists. The team also got some help courtesy of Tavin Jones, who shot 63% from the field to rack up 12 points and five boards.

Eagle's first win this season bumped their record up to 1-2. As for Columbia, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 2-2.

Looking ahead, Eagle will be taking part in a tournament against Teton at 3:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Columbia, they will take on Hillcrest in a tournament on the 18th.
