The Soledad Aztecs will head out on the road to square off against the St. Francis Sharks at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Soledad is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 7.2 runs per game this season.

Soledad managed to slip by Salinas the last time these teams faced off, but didn't have those same answers this time around. Soledad lost 13-2 to Salinas on Thursday. The game marked the Aztecs' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

Soledad saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Anikan Tavarez, who went 1-for-2 with one double and one RBI. Ethan Sanchez also deserves some recognition as he brought in his first RBI of the season.

Meanwhile, St. Francis was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They were two runs away from ending the streak, but they lost a 12-10 heartbreaker at the hands of Monterey. Even if the Sharks couldn't come away with the win, the high-scoring effort was a great turnaround for their hitters, which had struggled int the games prior.

Javier Fonseca was cooking despite his team's loss, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 2-for-4. Nash Horton was another key player, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 1-for-3.

St. Francis now has a losing record of 2-3. As for Soledad, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-2.
