It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Everett Alvarez had no problem doing just that on Saturday. They were the clear victors by a 9-1 margin over the St. Ignatius College Preparatory Wildcats. The Eagles not only won on Saturday, but they posted their biggest win since April 16th (when they won 10-0).

Dani Amendola spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned run on six hits and racked up 12 Ks. She has been consistent for a while: she hasn't given up more than two walks in 24 consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, Lizbeth Ramirez was incredible, going 3-for-4 with three RBI, one stolen base, and one run. That's the most RBI she has posted since back in February. The team also got some help courtesy of Bella Hanson, who went 3-for-4 with four RBI and two doubles.
