Recap: Corry Beavers vs. Warren Dragons
If the Corry Beavers were feeling good off their 73-45 takedown of the Titusville Rockets last Friday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. Corry took a 79-62 bruising from the Dragons on Tuesday. While losing is never fun, Corry can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Pennsylvania basketball rankings (they are ranked 210th, while the Dragons are ranked 75th).
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Warren to victory, but perhaps none more so than Konnor Hoffman, who scored 18 points along with five steals. Another player making a difference was Tommy Nyquist, who went 6 for 8 from beyond the arc en route to 20 points and 3 assists.
Corry has been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four games, which put a noticeable dent in their 10-5 record this season. As for Warren, their victory bumped their record up to 13-3.
Corry will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on the Dragons at 7:30 p.m. on February 16th. As for Warren, they will look to defend their home court on Friday against the Knights at 7:30 p.m.
